The NSU trial in Munich will probably come to an end in spring 2018. It will then have lasted for 5 years and is the biggest lawsuit against nazis since the Nuremberg Trials. Yet, except for punishing its last remaining core member Beate Zschäpe and the closest supporters, not much has happened. As we show in this talk, the racist public will enabling and pushing the NSU prevails and has even become worse.
More refugee shelters then ever have been burnt in the last years in Germany and racist (terror) attacks happen every day. In Munich, the 19 years old David S. killed 9 of his fellow school comrads due to racist motives on the anniversery of the Brejvik murders in 2016 close to a huge shopping mall. The structural aspects of the NSU remain unsolved, as well as the involvment of german authorities, especially the VS (the german protection of the constitution → a german inner intelligence agency). The latter even had one of its employees wittnessing one of the NSU murders, without speaking up and without consequences. At the same time, victims and relatives were treated like culprits by the authorities as well as the media. Just because of their non german origin. A trial doesn‘t provide the prober conditions to shed light onto these points. But in this case it remained below even the lowest expectations.
The Federal prosecutors office wants to make the proclamation of sentence the final stroke in the public discourse about the NSU. We strongly disagree and want to manifest our dissent on the streets on the day of proclamation of sentece with a huge demonstration. We demand „kein Schlussstrich“ [german for „No final stroke“]
