Amazing! Such an awesome read! Copenhagen radicals shows the way and invites the region to its playground for practice.
It was good seeing you. The sky was blue and everyone were smiling. It's been a long time since we've seen old and new friends smile so much. That day we actually looked each other in the eyes instead of looking down on our feet. »Finally something is happening«, we could hear each other saying.
But let's realize it. The fascists were primarily a pretext to meet. Something else was at stake.
Saturday the 3rd of December was an invitation to meet each other on the streets again.
We have a need to meet and find each other again. We've been able to do it before, but it's been a long time.
Apparently, we need a pretext to meet and we got that one when a small national conservative group decided to march through our neighborhoods.
But the joy of seeing you far surpassed the limited victory it was to make the fascists take Fredens Bro instead of Dronning Louises Bro.
The images of the barricade and the lovely banner over the bridge was not just about blocking the way for the fascists.
Everyone we know were happy about the burning barricade. It was more important than them.
It would be good for us to have more of these moments together. For while the image is just a surface, the people who experienced it could find each other.
What kind of joy was it that occurred at the barricade on the bridge?
In a time when the political winds blow in the direction of fascist economics, it was good to see you all laugh and smile to each other.
Because in fact many of us know each other, being friends or political allies, but it's often not recognizable before we experience the alliance unfold on the street.
Here the alliances finally find their place. The fascists were never interesting for us the 3rd of December.
That's not to say we're not dead serious about the fascists in these times, but the decisive effect of the 3rd of December was that we blew life into old friendships and established new ones.
These friendships are also the only remedy against our enemies. Strong ties will keep the fascists away from our neighborhoods.
We know our means, but we also need to know each other. If we know both, it will happen again.
The barricade at Dronning Louises Bro can be built again. It can be built from the furniture of the job centers, who enforce the nihilist labour market. It can be built from the café chairs at St. Hans Torv, that for the time being is only used as recreative distraction for citizens.
Or it can be built from all the urban renewal projects that primarily have the function of raising the costs of living and turn the city more smooth, so that we do not come into contact with each other as we did the 3rd of December.
It was good to see your joyful faces. The political still exists, we just have to promise each other that it will take place.
When will we see each other again?Danish activists
