Press release on S., a comrade whose life is at risk following the demonstration in Sainte-Soline

On Saturday 26 March in Sainte Soline, our comrade S. was hit in the head by an explosive grenade during the demonstration against the water tanks. In spite of his state of absolute emergency, the prefecture knowingly prevented the emergency services from intervening in the first instance and from transporting him to an appropriate care unit in the second instance. He is currently in neurosurgical intensive care. His vital prognosis is still engaged. The outbreak of violence that the demonstrators suffered resulted in hundreds of injuries, with several serious physical injuries as reported in the various reports available. The 30,000 demonstrators had come with the aim of blocking the construction of the Sainte-Soline mega-basin, a project to monopolise water by a minority for the benefit of a capitalist model that has nothing left to defend but death. The violence of the armed wing of the democratic state is the most striking expression of this. In the sequence opened by the movement against the pension reform, the police mutilate and try to assassinate to prevent the uprising, to defend the bourgeoisie and its world. Nothing will weaken our determination to put an end to their rule. On Tuesday 28 March and the following days, let's strengthen the strikes and blockades, let's take to the streets, for S. and all the wounded and locked up of our movements. Long live the revolution.
