3. ANTIFASCISM AND THE CLIMATE MOVEMENT - Varis Verkosto (Fin), Autonom Organisering (Swe) & Kafka, environmental activist (Swe).

The environmental movement is under attack by the radical right both politically and increasingly in the streets. Fascists protect the status quo in society, along with its big, polluting capitalist enterprises. They also function to violently attempt to stabilize the capitalist system in times of crisis. As the climate crisis accelerates and as we threaten capitalist profits by our actions we will see such attacks only increase as we fight for climate justice. In this important panel we bring together activists from the traditional antifascist struggle and environmental activists to learn, discuss strategy and tactics and prepare to face a reactionary future from both street fascism and parliamentary reactionaries.

2. REPRESSION - Activist old-timers (Swe)

The environmental movement is facing increasing repression as actions are met by harsh jail time followed with political and medial attacks against climate-oriented groups. With experiences of decades of repression against the autonomous movement and radical left, we bring in comrades to discuss experiences of facing and overcoming repression. This amounts to both the practical events of repression but also its political dimensions of splitting our movement as an element within the repressive mechanism.

When examining the climate crisis we need to look at it from a systems perspective. This means looking our how centralisation versus decentralisation enables climate crisis acceleration. Examining the media, social norms, political, institutions, military, and economic, including money systems from the light of centralised and decentralised and if one of them accelerates climate crisis more than another.

In this panel we bring together movements activists from all over Northern Europe to discuss the potential for collaboration between the radical left and the climate movement.
