Greek Prisons: Revolutionary Struggle Prisoners Pola Roupa & Nikos Maziotis Hunger Strike Update Day 21

Greece, 02.12.17: The lawyer for the imprisoned Revolutionary Struggle members Pola Roupa and Nikos Maziotis, Marizana Kikiris, after an argument with prison officials was informed – but not in an official capacity – that the comrades were being transferred to the ‘Saint Paul’ prison hospital.

There is some confusion regarding the hospital transfers. It was announced later in the day on Athens Indymedia that Nikos Maziotis was transferred to TZANEIO (Tzaneio Prefecture General Hospital of Piraeus). It is not known whether Pola Roupas has been transferred to the same hospital as her transfer was not carried out at the same time as Nikos. It is also not known whether the authorities have granted the comrade’s demand to be given phone communication access with their son, as the comrades had stated that they would refuse any hospital transfer unless this was granted.
