Dear comrades,
The Malmö Solidarity Movement with Palestine invites you to a political camp in Malmö from September 11th–16th. Everyone who stands against Zionism, colonialism and environmental destruction is welcome to join us in reclaiming power from the state and capital.
This camp is about active solidarity. We come together to share skills, strategies, and knowledge that strengthen our collective resistance. The program will include workshops, trainings, and discussions on Palestine, global liberation struggles, and building sustainable movements. Schedule TBA.
We gather to resist Israel’s ongoing genocide and apartheid occupation of the Palestinian people and their land, as well as the global systems enabling it, and those profiting from arms deals and colonialist ventures. Despite Israel’s ethnic cleansing, Western states, among them Sweden, remain complicit at every level: from municipalities and universities to tech firms, banks, grocery store chains and weapons manufacturers. Malmö itself plays a vital role in precisely this complicity:
From LIDL, McDonalds, to Malmö Muncipality hosting Eurovision 2024 and Malmö University receiving millions of SEK from Sandberg Development (https://mau.se/nyheter/stor-donation-till-vattenforskning-pa-malmo-universitet/), which is the owner of Aimpoint, a red dot sight producer whose products are used by the occupation forces (https://www.etc.se/inrikes/sikten-fraan-svenska-aimpoint-anvaends-av-idf); to Volvo machinery which is used in the demolition of Palestinian homes (https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/jul/03/glob... , https://www.un.org/unispal/document/a-hrc-59-23-from-economy-of-occupation-to-economy-of-genocide-report-special-rapporteur-francesca-albanese-palestine-2025/)
Multinational corporations which profit off exploitative supply chains, shamelessly sourcing from and even supplying Israeli commerce and military industrial complex.
They don’t care who bleeds. Accessible prices but with a lethal profit margin.
However, the local community of Malmö have been an example of what resistance, and organising can achieve. A recent win is the swedish red dot sight company Aimpoint (https://afsc.org/gaza-genocide-companies, https://www.sydsvenskan.se/2025-07-25/malmoforetaget-slutar-salja-vapensikten-till-israel-gjorde-ny-etisk-bedomning/) terminating all contracts with Israeli partners and halted exports.
By gathering in Malmö, we aim to harness the spirit of resistance that the local community has fostered and continue resisting. The camp will be a place to build networks and communities rooted in care, regeneration, and resistance — networks that transcend borders, lasting beyond the camp for further organising. This will be a space to challenge, support, and learn from each other. It is self-organised, and everyone, together, is responsible for making it safe, accessible, functional and cared for.
