On 8 August, while repelling an enemy infantry assault in the Zaporizhzhia direction, our brother-in-arms, David Chichkan, was gravely wounded. In the early morning of 9 August, his heart fell silent.
David met every challenge with unwavering dedication. He never hid behind others’ backs, nor sought refuge in social capital. With sincerity and openness, he shared his deepest reflections on politics, ethics, and social justice with his brothers- and sisters-in-arms.
He had a gift for creating an atmosphere of trust and camaraderie, forging connections with people of all views and moral systems, yet never straying from his convictions. David believed that true anarchists must endure the hardest trials alongside their people. His passing is an immeasurable loss for us.
David forever in the ranks.
